Final plans

We had the bad news over Thanksgiving that Groucho Too has cancer of the liver.  He had a cancerous cyst on his spleen that burst so they did a spleenectomy and had the spleen biopsied.  It was cancer.  They also saw nodes on his liver during the surgery.  So....what to do?  He has the stitches out tomorrow, so we have decided to tell the vet we want plenty of pain medication for him when he starts to be bad and we have decided to have him put down at home.  There is a traveling vet who will come to the home to do this.  There is also a pet crematorium in our little town who pick up corpses and take them for cremation.  We will have him put down at home, cremated, and the ashes buried at home.  We have even picked the area for his final resting spot.  We are ready to lay our beautiful goldendoodle to rest.

He even had a bath and haircut today.  He is looking great.  The incision has healed well and you can hardly see the shaved areas on his legs where he had drips for anesthesia and the transfusion.  He is looking good and running around just like before.
