Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

I have a australian labradoodle breeding female who we artificialy inseminated a couple of weeks ago. She is fed raw and Origen. She weighs 30 # and lately has only eaten her raw about 14.5 ounces one time a day. She will not eat her origen puppy food or I would only give her 8 ounces of raw. Any suggestions? Her last litter was fine but she was thin after delivery. I would like her to be with a little reserve going into delivery. Thanks, Cathi

We have a picky mom as well. During pregnancies we do a lot to get her to eat. Our best bet when feeding raw was to mix in some fresh ground green tripe. It smells so bad it must taste delicious. We have also done a large batch of stew, meats and veggies, gravy, rice, and freeze it in about I days worth of volume. Thaw, heat and mix with kibble for a meal. Grated cheese sometimes helps.

Oh I am sorry I didn't see this before now, The very best place to ask this is in the the Food Group, Karen is the moderator of the group and is chock full of knowledge about this kind of stuff. All you have to do is search in the group section, and look for the Food Group, it usually comes up as one of the first.

I don't have any experience of knowledge, but I know if you go on there they will be so happy to help you.

Best of luck to you baby...
