Ebony is about 41/2 months old and will be getting her first "official" haircut. I would have waited a little longer but my 8 year old daughter did a little trimming herself. Ebony looks much like my daughter's barbie dolls and their new haircuts... not very even and not very pretty. At least no one got hurt -(sissors, a wiggly puppy, and a little girl..Not a good combination.) Her hair is still long enough to be trimmed but I'm a bit nervous. What should I suggest to the groomer? I've never had a dog groomed before. Please feel free to post any photos of your dog with a great haircut that I can take to the groomer.
I guess the good news is she decided to experiment with the dog and not herself. Our daughter gave herself a makeover at that age, and it wasn't pretty.
Ned is slightly bigger than mini - he is 17" high and weighs 27 pounds. I loved his puppiness and if you look through my many photos you can see that we have tried different things - as he went through the matting stage. We have kept the same groomer who tries to do exactly what I want. The thing she has had trouble with as Ned has matured and gotten curlier, is the pouf on his head. I think that I have figured it out so next time he goes, he might not end up with a fluff head. This is a more mature picture of him (14 months) that she managed not to have the pouf-head but kept the puppy-look - which I also like. .
