Rocky almost caught a salmon in the Cedar River this morning. The fish were jumping out of the water and he lunged at one, but the water was too deep and he missed it. The current was also too strong for my liking so I discouraged him from swimming out further. We will try and go back on a calmer day so he can have another chance to fish...

I googled "fishing doodle" and found a website that informed me that "Doodling is a worm fishing technique best used on suspended bass in clear, deep lakes usually found in western America."

Obviously not was I was looking for so I'm posting the question here: does anyone's doodle fish and if so, where (lake/river)? - and do you let him/her eat the fish???? Rocky would love to devour a fresh 10lbs Coho salmon!!

Don't let your dogs eat raw salmon! It can kill them. There is a disease known as salmon poisoning, a DK member's dog almost died from eating raw fish it caught.
Here's the info on salmon poisoning:

Really!! I had no idea... thanks!! I guess we won't be going back... he was so excited though. Perhaps he can fish trout when the salmon is done spawning...
The FDA is now deciding if genetically engineered salmon is OK for human consumption.
ok, so where do we go to fish this genetically engineered creature that I personally would not eat but may be safe for dogs to eat without getting sicko :)
