flu shot for our doodles

A friend mentioned that she heard a report that says that dogs who go to the dog park should get a swine flu vacination. Anyone hear about this? I will check with my vet but was curious about this.

My dogs are not getting a lot of exposure to other dogs right now so I'm not certain what I'll do about the vaccine but I will ask my vet. I have to check with her anyway about a seemingly dead but slightly engorged tick I found on Luca last night. There was a central puncture -like lesion with a red circle about the size of a dime around it. I think he's probably OK but I do want to be certain. I personally get the flu shot every year since I know from my own experience how miserable the flu can be. I am wondering if i should do any less for the dogs. In part it depends if the vets are seeing much flu around here.
