Thanks for sharing. Monty is 3, Auggie is 11 months, but I'm already scared.

Awwww. Such a good reminder.  Our Springer is 9 - getting up there.  My beloved childhood dog lived for 21 years.  She was the dog of my heart.

21? Wow! What kind of dog was that?

Mutt!  She was probably a spaniel/terrier type mix.  She grew bigger than Ned but still a small dog. She was jet black and her 'favorite' color was red.

So sweet and lots of tears here!

This says it all! Our older doodle, Ellie, will be 10 in August. The time has just flown by, and she has enriched our lives beyond what I ever thought was possible. Ellie has given us so much more that we have given her. She is still in good health but the thought of someday losing her breaks my heart! Thanks for sharing!

Older are dogs just so sweet. Hug them lots.

Yes, it does say it all.

At 6 and 8 years in a couple of months, I do not know where the time flies.....  They are in their prime, and we enjoy each day to the fullest together, it's all you can do.

Ihave tears running down my face. Its been four years since I lost Cujo at 17 and I still tear up.Even though I  know have three Doodles taking his place. Thanks for sharing ...

Thank you for sharing this!

My childhood dog passed away a few years ago at 18.5 (we got her when I was 9 - so basically had her for all my childhood memories).  She was wonderful :)
