[Leslie and Halas]

Halas had his heffalumps (lipomas) removed this morning.  I got to pick him up about an hour ago.  Here are some photos.  They are a little gross.  Between the two of us, we have cornered the market on stitches over the last week.  And we both get our stitches removed on the same day.

This is his right hip.

And a final one of Halas in his cone of shame.  He doesn't really like to move much at all with it on.  When we got home, I took him to the field behind our condo for a short walk.  Once we got to the grass, he just sat down and wouldn't budge.  It took a few minutes to convince him to walk back in his cone.  This picture kind of shows how he feels about the cone.

Poor Halas.  I hope he heels quickly and that they got all of his heffalumps.  Jack cut his carpal pad last week and has 6 stitches.  We have been avoiding the cone as much as possible.  They are so pitiful when the are down

He's doing well. I think the incisions look pretty good. I let him go without the cone when I'm home, and he doesn't try to get to the stitches. He's acting a little strange at times, just kind of quickly pacing around. It's like he's uncomfortable, but isn't sure what to do about it. Can't lick the stitches, can't roll on the carpet, can't run, cant play, so he decides to just pace for a while and then lay down. He has to wear the cone overnight and when I go to work, so he isn't crazy about that.
