I found it on Facebook, F.  I think it tells the story of what we've been discussing here on DK so well.  I keep wondering what it must feel like to bring your dog, a member of the family, to the shelter and just leave him.  It is just unimaginable to me.

After reading the posts, I just don't think I can watch.  I have often wondered about Clancy's previous life.  He was in a kill shelter - either abandoned by his family in a backyard or dropped off.  (I got both stories.)  Every time I even think of his abandonment, I cry.  Clancy is a sweet tempered dog with no issues.  How could they have done this to such a wonderful and loving dog member of their family?  I don't understand Craig's list either, but at least many of those posters think they are choosing a new owner...

Nancy, I know just how you feel. Jack is the gentlest guy who has always behaved perfectly in the house, I can't imagine how someone just dropped him off at the shelter. "No time" was the reason given. Time for what? Even his grooming doesn't take much time, he doesn't matt. At least it wasn't a kill shelter. When the shelter volunteer first brought him into the "get acquainted" room to meet us, he walked over to my GS and laid his head in his lap. Broke my heart.

Both Jack and Clancy shed - perhaps why?  My son got the most wonderful Doberman from a rescue.  He was given up (at least it was a rescue) because he grew too big for the crate. WTD?

I do think Jack's size and his shedding may have been factors. If the person got a labradoodle becuase they are "low shedding, hypoallergenic, allergy-friendly, and about 50-60 lbs, they must certainly have been disappointed.

I can't watch it.  I know the original song that they are using and changing some of the words.  It is about a lover who gets dumped and now is "just sombody that you used to know".  Sad song.....I can only imagine how the words are changed for the doggies.  Just can't watch it....started it but, just can't.  My heart hurts for all of them!  Crying just thinking about it.

What really gets me is how in all the shots of the dogs in the shelters.. the dogs are just wagging because someone is coming to visit them.  SO sad.  

Abandoning a member of the family is just beyond my understanding.  I have trouble leaving Luna in the competent care of relatives for a few weeks...
