Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

My doodle is about 7 1/2 months old now...I have enjoyed doing his grooming myself...I find it is a great bonding time for us and also offers a great time for close inspection, not to mention got him used to me touching him anywhere and everywhere very quickly.  I did invest in a professional dog blow dyer & that has helped immensely on the time it is now taking...he just hit 55 lbs!  His hair is quite thick, but beautiful.  I love the shaggy look.

Now...my question...I was looking at tools for grooming online about a month ago and came across a particular brush that some pro groomers were praising for it's ease of working with longer hair dogs.  It was about $100 if I recall correctly...so I put off purchasing one.  Now I can't seem to find the site.  Any pros out there know what I am talking about?  If so, your thoughts?  And maybe where I can order?  As a pro hair designer for 25 yrs, I learned early on the value of investing in quality equipment. But I would like to be assured that this is quality and not a scam.

Thanks for any advice.

Isn't it fun doing your own grooming?  We have always groomed our doodles and we all love it.  My guys are big and it sounds like yours will be also.  He is well on his way.  Check out the Heavyweights group.  Yes, I'm sure you are talking about the Les Pooch brush.  Get one and give it a try.

You can contact Kemp from DoodleCountry. He is also a DK member so you can also check out his page. He'll help you pick the specific Les Pooch brush for your needs.

I don't have one of these but this seems to come up often and I just seem to have the words "Kemp is the guy" embedded in my brain ;)
