I hope I ask this the correct way, does anyone know of any breeders in Iron Mountain, MI

I have a friend at work who saw an ad in our paper about doodles for sale, she just wants to make sure that these guys are not from a puppy mill.    How can I help her out.  She just loves my wilson

and I really want her to have an awesome experience.

I may be wrong, but i don't think there are too many reputable breeders who advertise puppies for sale in the paper. If the puppies are selling for less than $1000, it's a bad sign.

Here are our DKguidelines for choosing a breeder. Have your friend read them, and if these people don't match up, she should stay away.

What to look For in a Breeder

Ditto to Karen's statement. I would encourage her to CALL the place and ask the breeder 'what health testing do the parent dogs have?' and 'what is your health warranty?' -- don't even let her go look at the pups if you can stop her UNLESS She gets good answers to those questions. She may end up bringing a poorly bred pup home simply because it is cute!
Thank you for the advice  I printed this off for my friend
