But what about the specific stories goldendoodle? In the Internet somehow can not find the information: who, what and why? brought this breed?They appeared after a labradoodle. And as you know, that the most purebred labradoodle is a mix not only a Labrador and a poodle, but the American and English spaniel, Irish water spaniel. Use and working qualities of these two species are the same, so I wonder why just after labradoodle and goldendoodle created? And these rocks are similar in appearance...

I am not sure what you are wondering about Liza. Are you asking why labradoodles and goldendoodles are the commonest doodles? There are other poodle mixes out there. but because labrador retrievers and golden retrievers are very popular family dogs, particularly in the US, they have been the main breeds mixed with poodles.

Hi Liza, welcome to DK.  I chose a goldendoodle because I have always really loved golden retrievers and adding in the qualities of the poodle seemed like a perfect mix to me.   People may correct me on this, but it seems to me that the first generation cross of the long haired golden and poodle generally results in a longer, softer coat that the first generation cross with the lab.  It just depends on what kind of look you like.
