I am trying to figure out how big my 3 months old F1 Standard Goldendoodle (Male) will get?
(Parents: Father- 60lb slandered poodle Mother – 55lb Golden retriever)

Well the breeder told me the pup will be Standard (60-90 lb). But based on his current weight, I am bit worried he is not going to grow big. (I needed a big Goldendoodle).

Weight at 8 weeks = 5.9lb
Weight at 12 weeks = 16lb

Does anyone has experience with your dog/pup

SIZE UPDATE:  Rather than create a new thread, figured I'd just post here.

Not exact, but Teddy my Toy GD was weighed right before Christmas (5+ months) and was just UNDER 11 pounds.  Took him in on his 6-month Bday a few weeks later and was just OVER 11 pounds.

I weighed him today by weighing myself with and without him on my digital bathroom scale.  Not exact, I know, since I'm using a different scale than at the Vets and approximating him from the difference.

Still....looks like he is slowing according to that Size Link higher up on this page.  I calculated 11.8 pounds which would be no change in weight or very little change if I was at the Vets in the 3 weeks since he was last weighed.

Teddy's Weight By Month:

2 months......3.5 lbs.

2 1/2 mths....5.1 lbs.

3 1/2 mths....7.0 lbs.

4 months......8.5 lbs.

4 1/2 mths....9.7 lbs.

5 1/2 mths....10.8 lbs.

6 months.......11.2 lbs.

Today @ 11.8 lbs (approx.)

He's also about 14" high at the shoulder and 17" high at the top of his head...I have to guestimate since he attacks the tape measure, he doesn't like it.  LOL  :- )

Toy dogs (and dogs under 20 lbs as adults) usually reach their full skeletal growth by 6 or 7 months of age. They do continue to gain a little weight in the form of lean mass (bone density and muscle) but for all practical purposes, they are full grown. Teddy's growth and weight gain has slowed down because he's just about done.

Yeah, it looks like that, Karen.  I'll confirm when I take him to the Vet again in a few weeks and do an apples-to-apples weight comparison.  The breeder told me her Toy Doodles were 15-20 pounds (most are 15-25 pounds) but she had 1 fully-healthy adult (probably a female) that was only 6 pounds !!  Many others in the low-teens.  But you never know....friend has a female adult Mini....should be 25-35 pounds...and yet only 12 pounds, which would be small even for a Toy !

Teddy's mom tended to have smaller pups than the other breeding female at the place I got him and he was the smallest of the 3 boys (but who knows, right ?).   I have asked the breeder to keep in touch with Teddy's 2 brothers (and 2 sisters) owners so I can see how they all turned out size-wise.

Regardless, I'm happy I have him even if he turns out to be bigger than his 2 brothers.

Karen, you nailed it.

Took Teddy to the vet today for some tests and he weighed just under 12 pounds....no weight gain at all really since late-December.

I was surprised; he FEELS heavier and has been eating a bit more.  But he's also burning off more calories since we go to the dog park near daily.

Thought he would certainly be in the 12's and maybe the 13's.

I thought he would hit the bottom of the 15-20 pound range my breeder gave me.  I did choose Teddy hoping he'd be smaller and it turns out unless he gets a growth spurt after 8 months, he's going to be about 12 pounds give or take a pound or so.  So he is one of the smaller "Toys" I was hoping to get and may have been fully-grown at about 5 1/2 months....wow.

Let's see if he puts on any weight up to 1 year or a few months after........

I think Teddy is DK's smallest doodle. :)

Great !!  How much $$$ do I win ???   LOL :-)

This post is older but I am wondering if the furparents who posted have updates for everyone for there adult weights now?
