Gorgeous Jake- A Doodle Available For Adoption in NJ

This is Jake. He is 3 years old, weighs 79 lbs, and is available for adoption through Watchung Mountain Poodle Club Rescue in Flemington, NJ. He is neutered, microchipped, UTD on all vaccines and preventatives. He is housebroken, rides well in the car, and knows basic obedience (sit, down, shake, etc) He is good with other dogs of similar size, and loves everyone he meets, especially men.

Jake was relinquished to the rescue due to his elderly owner's health issues. The owner told them that he is a Newfoundland-Poodle cross, and we do believe he is a Newfy-Poo. Unfortunately, the rescue has him listed as a Labrador Retriever-Newfoundland cross, and since they are a Poodle rescue, he is not getting much interest from potential adopters. Watchung Mtn. contacted DRC to help get Jake some interest from doodle seeking adopters.

When you look at his furnishings and his build (check out those long Poodle legs in the video that is included in the listing), it's clear that this is a doodle and not a Lab/Newfoundland cross. It's sad that people get so hung up on labels that they would ignore a gorgeous, sweet, healthy young guy like Jake just because nobody put the word "doodle" in his listing. DRC recently posted a Bernedoodle for adoption in NJ and got 85 applications within the first week she was listed. Hey, 84 people who didn't get the Bernedoodle, here's a Newfydoodle for you! LOL
