GREAT DEAL ON GOOD OL' AMISH GOLDENDOODLE AND LABRADOODLE PUPPIES --- UPDATED

That's right folks, Amish Puppies are for sale at bargain prices.  I live just one county down the road from 1,000 and 1,000 of Doodle Puppies!  If I drive an hour south, I can get  you a doodle for a lot less money!

Who could resist buying a puppy from good, God-Fearing Christians?

It's time once again to remind our newest members and those who are looking to get a beautiful puppy not to support the Amish by purchasing a puppy.  While not to harp on this subject we should bring it up once a year. You know, kind of like that mandatory safety meeting we all have to attend at work each year  :)  Ugh.  But it is important as a group to know all of this information. It is important to be a member of this site, know this information, have it posted around here somewhere, and then pass the word.  It should come up more often.   Too many new members, too many new puppies being bred, too many sick, too many sick puppies, too many looking for the $600 not the $2600 dog, too many sick puppies around here.  We are seeing it everyday here. It is time to review.

The Amish make great barns, furniture,  and quilts.  Not puppies.

Folks, I do not want to know where your puppy is from. I had an Amish Puppy Myself.  I just want to remind others to spread the word and educate new members.

The following is really benign.  If you want to research more  yourself, have at it.  There is plenty on the internet.

UPDATE:  I DELETED THE LONG DISCUSSION.  WHO NEEDS MY EMOTION. I THOUGHT FACTS WOULD BE BEST.

HERE IS A SEGMENT BY NIGHTLINE.  SOMEONE MORE REPUTABLE.  AN EASY WATCH AND INFORMATIVE.

IT IS HARD ENOUGH AROUND HERE, WITHOUT ADDING RELIGION AND CULTURES.

SO LETS GO EASY ON EACH OTHER.

FEEL FREE TO DELETE YOUR COMMENTS... OR WHATEVER. REMEMBER THIS IS TO GET THE WORD OUT THERE.

The next time some wonderful, unsuspecting new member signs on, direct them to this link
Thank you so much for your patience.
See you all at next  years mandatory meeting

Thanks for a good reminder Joanne. Sadly too many folks skirt the tenets of religions they belong to. Nobody has to belong to any religion but do not use religion to make you seem like a good person. Just be a good person. The Amish are not the only hypocrites around by a long shot. But they may be the only religious group known for puppy mills.

Thank you, F. for reading this unpleasant reminder that has to go out .. once in awhile.

Nothing against religion and the Amish, and you said it so well.  It is just that, I for one, have fallen for the " GOOD PEOPLE SYNDROME"   I'm very guilty of this.  As I so often say, All people are good until proven otherwise. I live with the Rose Colored Glasses.

I do not want others to fall prey because they think they are doing the RIGHT thing, and buying from Good People.

Again, thank you

Thank you for posting this, Joanne. Many people are not aware of this, and think that good, quiet, modest, God-fearing people must also be kind and honest. This is just not true when it comes to the Amish/Mennonites and puppies. As you said, their belief is that God put animals here purely to serve man, dogs are animals just like cows, and in this case, "serving" man means bringing in the $$$$.

That bargain puppy is going to cost you more than the puppies from the legitimate breeders by the time you get done with the vet bills. And you will have contributed to the suffering of the puppy's mother and father, who are left behind to churn out more puppies until they're too old to be profitable, and then they're discarded or worse.

There are Amish mills in many states, not just PA & OH. Do searches for the kennels names. If the puppies are advertised on multiple listing sites, you are dealing with a mill, period. If they show up on broker sites, ditto. Use the "What to look for in a Breeder" guide, and ask questions here. Do your homework. Please don't perpetuate the chain of abuse by contributing your hard earned money to these operations.

Thank you, Karen.

I too was guilty of thinking this was entirely IMPOSSIBLE. It was DK and DRC, with articles such as these that opened my eyes.   Now I know so it is  time to pass it on.

Again, Thank You

Brutal! So incredibly sad :(

Good to see you posted this.  It should be shouted from the rooftops DO NOT BUY A PUPPY FROM THE AMISH PUPPY MILLS.  These people are cruel and there should be a law to stop this evil trade which leads to so much suffering.

My heart is broken but my mind is sharp. I too will never buy as much as a piece of cheese from these horrible so called humans.

NEVER EVER BUY A PUPPY FROM A PUPPY MILL!

There is much work to be done and it all starts with this!

Thank you Joanne for posting.

So sad. All those poor dogs...

Thanks, Joanne.  See you next year.

Joanne you are so great! Thanks for spreading this important message!

There are many Mennonite puppy mills in Canada though. In fact one of the worst was actual a member here until an unhappy customer outed him. I'll have to see if I can find the old discussions.
