Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

I have spend a lot of time and money trying each and "almost" every brush and comb out there on Lucy. Although I really like the Les Pooches and alot of you like the Chris Christian,?sp., brushes I have found that when her fur is long I am not able to get down to the skin with any of them. Today I was at Tractor Supply and went into the horse grooming isle and found these 2 combs, pic below. They are both plastic and are used for a horse's mane and tail. The blue single comb was only 98 cents and the pink multi comb was $4.98. Let me tell you they are the best thing I have found and used on Lucy. They go through her fur like butter and she didn't mind it at all. She even left me comb out her tail. I also got alot of fur out into the comb. I liked the pink one the best. It is like 7 individual combs in one. If you have a Tractor Supply near you, try them. Cheap, so even if you don't like them you do not lose alot. If your doodle has a tight poodle curl to their coat not sure how they will work. Lucy's fur is a loose twisted curl.

What a great idea!
Thanks,for sharing.
I am going to look for those tomorrow! Gingy doesn't really like the metal comb I have. He'll let me brush him with anything else, but the second I bring that out, he tries to leave. Thanks!
I have looked for this comb and brush at every horse store I see. NO LUCK. Can you get any more info for me or the store info so I could order them?
Awesome idea! That is thinking outside the box. I use Cowboy Magic, so why not a horse brush/comb?

Thanks,
~Danielle
Thanks I am going to go there today. I just bought a metal comb and Chewie HATES it. Hopefully this will work better.
