Hair coat?????

Hi there! I'm new to Labradoodles and this web site.
We just got a super cute little guy last week.
We were told he would have a shorter hair coat, which would
Be preferred,we walk and hike in trails and in the
Woods a lot. But it's starting to turn very curly
and fleecy. Super soft. That's ok too. But I can't
Tell. Can anyone help me figure out what
Harry's coat will eventually be?

Thanks Ginny. I think you're right, but I wasn't sure if it's possible to have a combo coat. This little Harry has every type it seems. It's no doubt very fleecy in spots and very hairy in others. It even feels like tight little wooly curls on his butt. I guess he might have all coats in one. Cool!

So, its 5 months later and Still not sure about this coat. I think he has a very thick and kinky hair coat…he sheds like crazy right now. He's Seven months. I'm wondering if its a combo of all coats….its different everywhere. I'm also wondering how long his coat might eventually be? Also, if any one can help, is there a away to guess how big he'll get? He's 50 pounds now. Heres a couple pics. Thanks if anyone can help!!
He is a very funny dog. Great sense of humour and super smart.  I love his hair/fur.

I believe it is a hair coat - she doesn't really shed, never did.  She is about 55 lbs. now, 7 years old!  Love her!

One more question….how long does that hair get if you leave it to grow out?

Hi Sandie, My Clancy sheds lots and lots, yet we still need to have him groomed.  I think some of his coat would grow a lot and some would be okay.  His face and leg area grow quickly, the other parts less so.
