HAPPY 2 YEAR MARK

Two years ago this week we got Lilly in our lives. After seeing her on Petfinder and a trip to Daytona Beach, Florida she came home with us. She has done a complete 180 in the two years. From a nervous little girl with a real bad haircut she's developed into a amazing well adjusted happy dog. I'm just so proud of her.

Wow, do you know the name of the breeder? How did she end up in FL?

I do. They are in Delphos. Their web site is goldendoodledandy. She was purchased by a lady in the Daytona Beach area and she dropped her off at a shelter when Lilly was almost 2 years old. Folks there think she was planning to breed her and changed her mind. She didn't have her spayed until she was over 20 months old. I actually got all of Lilly's original paperwork. The lady dropped it off with her.

Wow, small world! It's hard to believe that someone would go through the expense to purchase a dog, ship it or drive a long distance to pick it up and then take it to a shelter. I'm happy that she has now found a great home with you!

It's nice that you know her history, Joe. I wish I had Jack's paperwork. His original owner left it with him at the shelter, too, but they wouldn't let me see it or have it. They did tell me his birthdate and the name of the Arizona pet store where he was purchased, but not the "breeder" (puppy mill) name. I would like to at least know where he was born and how he ended up in Illinois.

Congratulations on your 2 year anniversary...All one has to do is look at that face and know how happy and content this dog is...I am sure this is because of you...congrats to you too...She is just beautiful
