Happy Big "5" Katie Jo!

If you had asked me 22 months ago if we would be here now I would have told you no. But here we are, with Katie still living her best life. She's the smallest in the house, but she's definitely in charge. She can still outrun her larger sisters to the ball and she puts them in their place when they're too rowdy. She stakes out her spot on my pillow at night. If anyone doesn't finish their food, she'll take care of it. She always makes sure I didn't forget to clear my plate from the table, and she's equal parts sassy and sweet. We didn't do anything special for her birthday, because let's be honest - every day is like her birthday. But I'm so happy to begin another year with my dear friend. Here is to hoping we have many many more.

I still don't know what happened. They said it was an aggressive tumor, but I can't see it at all any more. She barely snores on occasion. She really is the fastest. Maybe it is a miracle.
