Happy Hanukah to all our Jewish doodles and their families..May your lives be filled with the warmth and brightness of the everglowing menorah...Happy eating and partying for the next EIGHT days and nights, lol...don't forget to spin your dreidels, and eat your latkes...Yum!!!!
I got both things at T.J Max...Do you have that where you live? they run this stuff a lot cheaper then the petsuper stores do. Not all the time, but if you go to there pet section...they have different stuff at different times. I know that a lot of places have the the stuffing free toys with the squeakers , it was just about 2.00 cheaper there. they were too much on line, I checked....they have a fox, a parrot, a bear, and I am sure others too, these are the ones that we have here...Oliver just loves them, and they have lasted for almost a year, with his constant chewing and playing with them...
Yes TJ maxx right down the street!! I b-line for pet section everytime and then circle back for me. ohhhh how life has changed. Can you send me a pic of the ball?? Rosey lost her favorite and I need a replacement. Yes fab stuff at fab prices and Tuesday Morning is good too...
I will take a picture of it and try to send it. I just got a new computer, 2 days ago, so I am learning to do things with it, lol...It is windows 7 and very different from my xp prof. that I had. so bear with me and I will try to send it soon.
Thanks for the greetings! We have all stuffed bellies from eating latkes and sufganyot (jelly donuts)! Cocoa loved her latke but decided to pass on the sufganyot (she wants to maintain her girlish figure). We believe she must be Jewish because she is such a good little yente the way she is always watching out the window and reporting to me if there is anything going on outside. She is now busily chewing up her gift... a stuffed cat toy.
Oops, I forgot about the doughnuts!!!!!....they are soooo good, lol....wish I could be like Cocoa and pass on them, lol....My figure does not need them, thats for sure. Oliver watches out the window too, he tells me when someone is walking by the house, or whtever is happening he needs to know. what do u call a male yenta???...Whatever that is that is Oliver...He is called the mayor of the neighborhood here on our street.....
Hmmm... there must be a term for a male yenta- I'll have to ask my father-in-law - he remembers a lot of yiddish, especially the slang!
I also want to remind all the celebrants to be careful to keep chocolate away from their dogs. It was around Chanukah time last year that Cocoa came down with toxicity from something she ingested, and even though we are very careful I have always wondered if somehow one of the kids left some chocolate gelt lying around. Kids are usually good about trying to be careful, but they are also easily distracted. I think that the nondairy (parve) gelt is especially dangerous, as it is bittersweet chocolate, which is very concentrated.
that is so important, and we do not give the kids the "gelt" until they are ready to go home...I am terrified of choclate poisioning....For those of you that don't know what we are talking about, they are pieces of choclate wrapped in gold or silver foil to look like large coins and small ones. They are usually in a net sack, and the kids love them.
