Morgan is 12 weeks old. When she gets excited she pees. She gets so happy when people come and visit. She will do this even if she just made. Does anyone else;s puppy do this? I tell the family and friends that visits to ignore her so she does not get too excited. Any other tips

Hi, My female cockapoo Sadie did this for well over a year and I can say at 1 1/2 years old she has finally outgrown it. Can't say anything really helped. Ignoring helped sometimes but other times it did not. The vet suggested bringing her outside to great people so if she does pee, at least it is not in the house. Don't ever correct her for it as she can't help it and may not even know she is doing it.

Hi, thank you for the reply. I wanted to make sure there was nothing wrong with her bladder. I took her to the doctor today for shots and asked my vet. She said she will probably outgrow it.

Lynn and Morgan

Haley did this but outgrew it. In the meantime he had to greet people on the back porch where we could hose it off. Visitors usually got that far before we knew they had arrived.

Guinness did this too as a puppy.  If we knew that company would be coming I would crate him and once they arrived and were seated I would bring him out on leash.  That helped because it cut down on the excitement, but he really just needed to outgrow it.

I have an 8th month old female doodle and she still does this. We also crate her when someone is coming over or someone is coming home or try to have her outside. She is getting better at it. I have heard that they will out grow it!
