CAN YOU TURN YOUR BACK ON THESE?

THESE ARE JUST FOUR OF HUNDREDS OF DOGS WHO NEEDED RESCUING IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. THIS IS NOT WHAT THEY LOOKED LIKE WHEN THEY WERE RESCUED.  THIS IS WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE AFTER MEDICAL TREATMENT AND LOTS OF LOVE.  WOULDN'T YOU LIKE TO BE PART OF THE TRANSFORMATION? THE FEELING YOU GET WHEN YOU PERSONALLY ASSIST IN HELPING IN THAT TRANSFORMATION IS PRETTY FANTASTIC.  IF YOU FOSTER CORRECTLY, IT WILL BE HARD TO LET THAT DOG GO - AFTER ALL YOU PUT IN LOTS OF LOVE GETTING TO KNOW THAT DOG AND HELPING IT GET OVER THE TRAUMA OF ABANDONMENT. WHAT THIS DOES IS HELP IN CHOOSING JUST THE CORRECT NEW AND FOREVER FAMILY FOR THAT DOG.

IF YOU HAVE ADOPTED A DOG FROM A RESCUE OR SHELTER, POST THEM HERE.  IF YOU HAVE A BEFORE AND AFTER PICTURE - EVEN BETTER.  BE SURE TO THANK THE RESCUE ORGANIZATION OR SHELTER IN YOUR POST. WITHOUT THEM, YOU WOULD NOT HAVE YOUR PRECIOUS PUP.

If I lived in SoCal I would volunteer to foster for the small-med doodles. But it is a long way from Michigan. Charlie is an amazing transformation.

DRC is nation-wide and needs fosters everywhere.  It is just dire in California right now because we seem to get doodles in clumps.

I Would LOVE to foster, but I am on the other side of the country:) I look constantly to see if there are any near us, but the only ones that I find are already adopted, in foster homes, or "PENDING".(which is a good thing:) Were we live, they only allow 2 dogs per household, so I wanted to try to foster before we get our second doodle.(or if we move, we can have all three.)

I don't think I have ever seen a dog listed on the drc that was in Michigan. I was thinking fostering might be the way to go, to see how Annabelle likes sharing the love before we made the commitment and adopted, only to have her sulk. I know with my grandkids if she thinks I am giving them too much attention, she will come slide her head under my arm so I will pet her.

We have had many dogs in Michigan, although not as many recently as we used to. We need fosters there now too. Our adoption director lives in MI. 

It does generally take several weeks for the house dog to adjust and start to like "sharing", lol. I've only had one foster who was here long enough for Jack to start liking her.

Sam, the DRC is nation-wide so feel free to apply to foster.  It just happens to be dire in California right now.
