Buster is 7 months (as of a few days ago) and I just found a vet who is AWESOME!!! during his appt. with her last week the tech offered a fecal exam, I obliged (with his inconsistant stools you never know) and guess what?????? the next day I got "the phone call". Buster has whipworm, oh goodie! to date he's had hookworms, coccidia, roundworms and now whipworms. anywho, the point of this mini vent is to say apparently whipworm is very common because it can be missed during exams and heartguard does not protect against it. now Buster is using trifexis he did not have any real issues with it and we'll deal with ticks as needed because they aren't too prevalent here. I hope this works, I'd like to get a routine down for both our sakes!!!
we have been using Trifexis. Have not seen a flea yet on him, so very pleased there. The only issue I had was getting Harley to take it without it crumbling and him loosing part of it on the floor. We now pour a little chic broth on it and he licks the bowl clean. I love the profile pic of Buster, it shows that clownish smile that goldendoodles have that melts my heart.
good to hear you've had good results with trifexis! putting broth over the tablet is a smart idea. I'll need to remember this "just in case" so far Buster eats everything! thanks, I love that silly smile too! the name Harley is adorable-great choice!!
I use IVerheart because it has a dewormer in it as well, Every month he gets that built right into his heart worm medication. I stopped giving Jack his flea and tick medication every month and will now be giving it every other month in the summer and not at all in the fall and winter..
We use it her for my two guys, and have for quite some time, I love it. Also I use a tic collar because we do have tics here. So far not one problem, and they were so bad with the stuff that u put on their fur, they would run in circles and howl when it was applied. Then their coats got greasey, ugh, so now we are very happy with the trif
