Hi all.....

Bentley (9months old)just consumed a bunch of BBQ grease.  He was outside playing and when we went out there we realized what he had done.

What should I do or what may be some reactions I should look for???????

thanks a bunch!!!

I would try giving him a tablespoon or two of hydrogen peroxide to make hm vomit if you have any handy. Otherwise the grease will probably give him the runs and we worry about pancreatitis. You can as an alternative give him some bread to absorb some of the grease.

ok...I just gave him some bread. What are the symptoms pancreatitis?

It would not develop right away. Here is a good review.

OK..I have my fingers crossed but I feel kind of panicked. Thanks for your help.
He likely will be fine.

How is Bentley this morning?

Good Morning All:

So far so good!!! No vomiting no runs. I called the vet this morning and he said that if he is acting his normal self to feed him his regular food.  I will keep everyone updated.  Thank you so much for all of your help.  Really appreciate it.

Glad to hear he's ok!

Luna once ate a marrow bone at grandma's with the marrow... she had bad diarrhea the next day but thankfully nothing worse.  Grandma has since been told that bones are to be clean with no marrow or anything else attached :p

Just seeing your post.....glad Bentley is doing fine today.    Just can't take your eyes off these guys!

That is good news.

I just came on DK to look for an update on Bentley. I'm so glad he is doing well today! Thanks so much for the update.

Glad he is feeling fine!
