Lucky has finally stopped pouncing on the Pug, Pomeranian, and the Persians. However the damage is done. No one plays with him or likes it when he comes close. He is finally a good boy. He is so sad playing with his toys. I caught him trying to play with our parrot and the parrot doesn't seem to hate him. It seems that only big dogs like him like our neighbor's golden, or the labs.I've tried to have all of them play fetch but he gets overexcited and starts pouncing on the little dogs rather than relieving the ball. Is there anything I can do?

I totally want another dog but my fiance won't let me get another one just in case we move to NYC in the next 2 yrs. We can't have four dogs in an apartment.  We actually ended up with the two small dogs because our old dog had to be alpha and was not nice to dogs her size or larger.

Thank you !

The same thing happened to Cocoa- she was very bouncy and grew bigger than all the dogs on our block. They are all friends, but want nothing to do with Cocoa. They aren't aggressive- they back up and bark or just walk away in disinterest. She was like Bill Murray in the movie Grounhog Day- swooning with happy excitement every time she saw one of them. For six years she greeted each dog with enthusiasm and was rejected. I realized with time that she wasn't getting "hurt feelings" like a human would. It made me feel a bit bad for her, but I don't think it phased her at all. She was still a happy pooch.

We recently moved, and now she is loved by all the neighborhood dogs. I guess some dogs never forget!

I like the Groundhog Day reference :) Thank you
