Help! We need a name for a girl.....

Okay, so doodle fever has struck again.  We are adding a little girl goldendoodle to our family.  She is a light caramel (apricot hair with a rose nose) and will be joining our chocolate goldendoodle, Webster.  For some reason, we can come up with lots of boys names, but we are struggling with girls names.  The names Dixie, Belle, Daisy, Bailey, Lindy, Penny, Mabel, Rosie, and Darcy have been used by us or family members. 

 

We are trying to find a name which "fits" with the name Webster.  One idea is Charlotte (Charlotte's Webster :-) .  I thought of it as a joke and my husband actually likes it. 

 

There are so many great names, does anyone have some clever girl names?  Our boy name list included Mozart, Crockett, Boone, Newton, Edison.  The closest girl name I can come up with is Glory (somewhat patriotic sounding).

When I saw this response to the Discussion title on the Home page I thought you were saying ":) Me Too - I think" meaning you needed names for a new baby girl puppy also!

I was just reading your description of your new little girl and I was thinking what you could do with caramel, I was thinking Cammy, Melly and then Cameo popped into my head. I've never met or heard of a dog named Cameo and you could do Cammy for short.It sort of goes with Webster when you say them together like you are calling them. You picked the one question that gets everyone thinking and I love all the suggestions. You could just call her Caramel and Carrie for short.

Ooohh....I like that one too.....especially since she will probably fade. Her dad is a very light cream but the breeder said he started out apricot, so if she fades and has the cute rose nose....Cameo would fit nicely. So many choices...so many choices...

Ok..I love naming parties!! How about: Libby, short for Liberty.. Rosebud..due to adorable nose that will blossom..or Blossom! LOL Just thought of that one...it will be so fun to see what you choose after all these wonderful suggestions. Good Luck : )

Well, we have narrowed our name search down. The top 5 are: Charlotte, Ruby (ends with "ee"), Willow (goes with Webster), Glory (ends with "ee"), and Mayflower (patriotic and nice nickname "May"). I'm guessing that Charlotte will win, my husband and 2 kids really like Charlotte. I thought of the name but I'm having a hard time thinking of it as a dog name - ha! To be perfectly honest, the positive response you all gave for the name Charlotte has swayed me toward using it - how can I go wrong if fellow doodlers like it :-) My first choice would be Willow, but my hubby thinks its "okay" whereas he is already practicing calling "Webster! Charlotte!". We pick her up on Sat so we will make the final decision once we determine if the name fits the pup. Thanks again to everyone for all your ideas!
