Hi DK can anyone help me with 'hairy inner ear' problems. Marley has always had a lot of hair inside his ears and despite plucking we have ended up with increasing earwax and he is at the vets as i write to be sedated and have wax and ears stripped. ( first time away from his mum for a whole day.....Its awful but i know best for him ) I have heard that there might be an electrolosis proceedure which might help??
Has anyone else had this problem? I am desperate that we dont have to go the vet route again. Always a potential danger with any sedation.
I am concerned that hair will always grow back deep inside his ears and maybe have to resign myself to a wax problem. Poor Marley ..........hes only 16months old and really dont want him to have these problems for the rest of his life.

Aww....I deal with this also. Heres what I do that works well for us.
First...with no hair in the inner ear. I use a 50/50 solution of apple cider vinegar and peroxide.
ACV is a multipurpose cleaner. Highly recommended by many other dog owners.
The peroxide is an antiseptic.
I use cotton balls of this solution, squeeze out most of the solution and wipe out the ears. Inner and outer.
If you dont know about it, do some research about the parts of the ear.
OR for reference check out some videos on you tube. There are videos and I have watched them too to help.
Shelby is not too fond of the ear cleaning but daddy gets her to let me do it.
Every time I do it I lay on the floor and I also use a small flashlight too see.
Jump in cause it truly is not that difficult or hurtful to you Doodle. If you need anything just send me personal message. Shelby and Kev in Jenks OK.
