Henry's Surgery Update

[Susan & Henry]

We are home! He did well during surgery today. The doctor removed the mass from his leg. He is home and resting comfortably. So far he is leaving his stitches alone. We are supposed to put a sock on it to keep it dry when he goes out to pee. I tried this but it fell off. Any clever ideas appreciated. We will know the pathology on Tuesday or Wednesday so keep praying! Thank you for your support!

I've been thinking about you two all day. So thankful surgery is over and he is home and resting comfortably. Hoping for the best of the best pathology reports...fingers , toes, tails and paws crossed. Continued prayers accending!

Glad to hear the surgery is over.  Hoping all's good with the pathology report.

Hoping the test results are good.   Small child socks work well.  We used them on our Springer after his surgeries. We put a dog poop bag on his foot and then a child sock when we went outside for potty breaks and just the child sock on when inside.

The sock is probably too large.  Use a long kid's sock and take it off as soon as he comes in and replace it with a warm dry sock.  A newspaper bag might also work to keep to dry, but a warm dry sock is best.  We have tons of socks around, so it is not a problem for us, but maybe get out some socks to keep handy.  Put in on to go out and take it off when he comes in and replace as needed.  You definitely want it to be warm and dry.
