HEY EVERYONE! KAREN AND JACK DOODLE ARE STUCK AT HOME WITH NO POWER TODAY!

Karen wanted me to tell everyone that she is stuck in the Chicago burbs in almost a foot of snow and fifteen below zero weather conditions with the wind chill.... She has no power, no heat, no lights, no cooking gas and a fridge full of food that is about to go bad!....Jack Doodle woke up this morning, took one look outside and KNEW!-There would be NO "walkies" for him TODAY!...lol.....

BUT the worst part of it ALL (says Karen) is ...

NOT BEING ABLE TO GO ONLINE AND LOG ON TO DK!...... LMAO!

She will get back on as SOON as she POSSIBLY CAN!....lol....In the meantime I'm filling her in via telephone so if you have any messages for her send em my way!....

Jac, tell Karen the food in the fridge is calling Jack's name. Give her my number and tell her she can call me if she needs another DK sista to talk to. I'm home all day. I thought she was being exceptionally quiet today. Tell her I am sending warm summer breezes to Illinois.

My goodness, what a slow news day it must be on DK! LOL! A whole discussion about poor me stuck with no power.
It IS back on now (who knows for how long) and I have to tell you, while my DD was dithering about the food in the fridge and worrying how we'd survive the night, I was having withdrawal because I couldn't check in here! Aimlessly walking into the office, hands twitching near the computer switch, pacing,... really I felt like Tom Hanks in Castaway! I came that close to striking up a conversation with one of Jackdoodle's tennis balls, in lieu of being able to communicate with you guys.
Jackdoodle was so aware of the situation, he went poop in the backyard in record time, and flew back into the house to much celebrating and acclaim. There's a silver lining to every dark cloud.
I am going to sit here all day and feed my addiction! And please don't feel guilty for "enabling"!

What an addiction we have going here. It sounds like you were having withdrawls. That's how I felt the night DK was down and I was trying to finish the decorations on my page. Just finished my dogfood and am glad you're back.

welcome back!! i am soooo sorry about the lack of electricty for the computer - food can always be replaced (LOL) but no computer O M G!!!!!!!! You are such a trooper

It's amazing how this essential this "modern" lifestyle is, no? We used to lose power when we lived in Seattle at least a couple times a year so we keep hiking headlamps around so we can at least huddle under the covers & read in the dark, lol Glad you've got power back so you can feed your addiction & Jackdoodle with fresh doggy casserole :)

My daughter was worried about the fridge, freezer, no lights, no TV, no vacuum cleaner, washing machine, hot food, etc.
And I was freaking out about not being able to come here!
(Well, that and staying warm with 20 below zero windchills and no heat, lol!)
