Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
New member here. I posted over in the thread "doodles behind bars" (so sad but glad they seem to ahve found better homes). Very much appreciate Ginny & Karen & Jackdoodle pointing me to resources on finding a good breeder, because .....
My family has put down a deposit on a puppy! Parents are only being bred this weekend, so still very much in the fingers-crossed stage.
My husband & I along with one of our daughters (who is a Vet-Tech & in a grad school masters program studying Zoo & Aquarium Program Management) spent about 3 weeks researching breeders & what to look for.
We think we've found a reputable breeder with good dogs & are quite excited. If this pregnancy takes, pups should be ready around Mother's Day!
I have a work environment that will allow me to take the puppy to work (I would previously take one of my Golden Retrievers in for about 3 years, until we had to put him to sleep last April)
We've had Golden Retrievers, Scotties, Collies, & Mini-dachsunds, & are now looking forward to our Labradoodle phase of dog ownership.

Welcome to DK.
Welcome to Doodlekisses. I am excited for you. Be sure to join the Puppy Madness group, the grooming group and the nutrition groups now so that you can get an idea about puppy behavior (doodle puppies tend to be pretty active and quite smart), as well as possible grooming commitments especially if your doodle is non-shedding, and finally the nutrition group where you will find suggestions for foods that are not only nutritious, but sourced in America and Canada.
Welcome to DK. Will be watching for puppy photos when you new little one arrives. The time will fly and in the mean time, you can research all things "doodle" on this site.
