Hives?
Does anyone have a problem with their doodle breaking out in hives? I thought it might be flea bites but they aren't red. They are just raised bumps sporatically on her body. I'm wondering if fleas can cause this, I have a flea comb and did comb about 5 fleas off.

Is she horribly itchy? Fleas can cause flea allergy dermatitis, which is pretty common, but she would be miserably itchy.
Dogs can also get contact dermatitis from various plants & grasses, especially at this time of year. That would cause pretty bad itching, too.

Yes she is miserable!!!! I can't tell if she scratching from fleas or hives. I gave her 2 benadryl and 2 prednisone about a half hour ago. I'm hoping this will help. Will the flea allergy make her have whelp like hives?

The prednisone will stop the itching pretty quick. Did the vet prescribe it? What was his opinion as to what might be causing the rash or hives?

Clancy's pink tummy had pink spots/blisters on it. The vet said allergies, then licking caused an infection to set in. He said it was too widespread for ointment so gave him a shot.
