So Aria came home on Friday, the trip was pretty smooth, beside 2 car sicks.

She is so cute.  Today I had appointment  for check up and Aria has a Hookworm, Im very disappointed at the breeder she said in contract that Aria had  2 deworming and i brought  her home and now she is sick. My poor baby!!

Vet give her 2 pills Interceptor 1 now and then next in 10 days.

I'm so glad she  is doing better. :) I was the same way when Tara was a puppy but really they are much more resilient then they look!  Tara was under 5 pounds when she came home (mini) and my DH has size 14 feet-I was terrified that he was accidentally going to squash her like a bug! But he didn't...just saying...I did a lot of worrying for nothing but I couldn't help it.  Thanks for the update!

Sorry you are having to go through this...but thank goodness it was detected and treated right away...enjoy this special puppy time as it does go by really quickly...hope she is feeling better real soon...definitely agree that you need to let the Breeder know so the other puppies don't get really sick...Good Luck with everything...keep us posted with updates:)

Yes Rosemary I will do another test and Im thinking to do a blood test as well, what you think?

March 31 Aria going to have a second set of boosters so i will ask vet to do the tests.

I didn't know there was a blood test....only fecal test for worms. But, definitely have the test re-run 10 days or so after the 2nd treatment. This is usually when the cycle/ eggs restarts itself.

Glad Aria is better!  I would be annoyed with the breeder as well, but the most important thing is that you took her to the vet and Aria got the treatment she needed.  Worrying about your baby is part of the package - doesn't matter if it's your first or tenth, but at least you know you have a place to come and vent!  Keep us posted!  She is beautiful!
