I take Fudge and Vern to the groomers about every 6 weeks. It takes Vern (aka Pigpen) approximately 10 minutes to un-groom himself. Does anyone else have this problem?
Here is Vern after a trip to the groomer looking all white and fluffy.
Ok, here he is about 5 minutes after we get home.
Now he is getting warmed up.
Still Rolling
And later in the week, it often looks like this
or like this
All I can say is, that is one really cute doodle!!!!
Jack looks like an unmade bed an hour after a grooming. Combing, brushing, and raking usually restores some semblance of neatness, lol.
Fudge stays out of trouble because she hides the dirt. She is just as dirty but Vern gets caught more.
We have a doodle couch which we place a large white cover over so it can be removed, washed and bleached. For the most part Starlit claims the doodle couch solely for her own. She always looks clean, groomed, and much neater than dirty white Spud. But if you take a look at the white couch cover, she is filthy!
My dream this year was to get all my furniture recovered/slipcovered in some white or off white fabric. That was before Vern. I now keep a cover on my couch too and it is in the wash all the time. I guess it is just easier to tell myself Fudge is clean :) I will say she never has stuff hanging off of her....Vern could carry his lunch and you couldn't tell. But, he has a great time everyday and always looks happy.
