How often to the groomer?

I have a 1 yr old goldendoodle. She has BIG hair. How often do you guys get your doodle trimmed?

Ned is 10 months and we have had him groomed every 4 - 8 weeks. I like his fur shaggy and he has been matting and I panic that he will have to be shaved so I take him to the groomer and brush him bunches. My groomer doesn't charge any more for Ned than for shaving my lab mix or grooming my English Springer Spaniel so I must be really lucky. It is expensive overall because the lab mix MUST be shaved every 8 weeks without fail due to shedding (lab fur of course), and I have 3 dogs...

I wanted to share this checklist that I found and used the first time I took my puppy in for grooming. It helps with the communication so that there are no surprises!
