I hope this is the right place for a 'how to' discussion. I looked around, and couldn't find another place. If I am wrong, please let me know.
I am a newbie Doodlekisser and Doodleowner, so I am pretty obsessed with our Cassie, which means I send out photos of her to my sister and friends VERY frequently. (I can imagine how annoyed some of them are :-)) However, every time I use the 'share' feature on My Page, ALL the photos go out. Is there a way to SELECT which ones you want to put in the slideshow, so I don't send the same ones over and over again?
Also - what are ALBUMS for? I thought maybe if I could put photos in different albums (don't know how to do that either), I could do 'share' per album?!
This is the right place--in fact I changed your topic's category (the category is not the title) to "HOW TO Questions about Doodle Kisses" -- which is one of the categories available when you start a discussion. You can see this directly under the title and after the date and time. This category is a fairly new addition so there aren't too many discussions listed when you search this category in the forum.
Are you selecting the " share" feature for your page or for the actual photo itself? If you click open any picture that you have, there is a share feature available for each individual picture.
Albums are for organizing your photos in any way you want. For example, let's say that you wanted to collect all the photos of Cassie's first day at home... You could create an album and select only those photos. Each album can hold up to 100 photos and you can select the order in which the photos are arranged. AND from the album you can view a slide show of the photos. If you saw the pictures of Rosco and Thule playing in the snow that I showed as a slide show in my blog--the reason I was able to show a slide show is because I created an album of those snow pictures. Finally, for the slide show that is on your page you may select to have only photos from a certain album be shown in that slideshow. And yes, you can share an album or a slide show.
PS--when you go to the forum page you have the option of viewing discussions or categories of discussions. Try it both ways to see what you find. But I'm not sure many people are aware that they can categorize their discussions in a few groups.
Also, a warning about albums, if you don't get the order right the first time...you can only redo the order on one page of the album. So if page three has a photo you want to move to page one--you can't do it :-(
