How would you find your dog if it was lost and not micro chipped

A friend of mine called last night all cried up and upset her (4 month old) Golden broke through their E -fence and is not micro chipped yet. He was scheduled to be neutered in a few days and micro chipped. I told her to alert all Vets, Dog Shelters, Rescues, Newspapers, Police, posted signs anywhere we could, are we forgetting anywhere?

Update: Just got back from Lisa's and no word on her pup as of yet, she is upset and panicking...she is also going to let her daughter know what happened tonight, from the sounds of it she was trying not to involve her.

Some do make an effort to return a dog, and in some cases some owners never show back up for their dogs...they just let them go and disguard them like trash....SAD....

I was/am afraid that someone would steal them especially when they were smaller. Now that they have are around 50 lbs each I don't worry as much. They are micro-chipped also. I only take my pups collars off if they are being bathed but I may never take them off after reading this!!

I will say a prayer that the pup finds his way home~ Let us know what happens!
