Okay, East Coasters.... when you can please check in with us. I'm up in the middle of the night on the west coast, watching the news and wondering how all of you are doing!

We are good here, too. The storm was bad. Very high winds and LOTS of rain and rain and rain. We did not lose power which is a major miracle here and hope it stays that way. We have some clean up today, but could have been so much worse.

I cannot believe you didn't lose power! I was sitting up in the night thinking you were definitely without. Be careful out there with the clean up. Leave it for a quiet day if you can.

We had very little rain, maybe an inch or two. The winds and tide surge did us in. A tidal surge took out a berm on the Hackensack river and a town up here in Bergen county was inundated. It is unbelievable, we are miles and miles from the ocean.

My brother, who lives in Fair Lawn, sent me a photo of a car floating on River Street in Hackensack with a person climbing up onto its roof.  Are you alright?

I am fine, thanks. We didn't have flooding here but loads of  trees down and no power. TG for my generator, it's getting colder.
