Is it safe to use on wound.  Astro got his tail bit by another dog.  I want to make sure it is clean...the wound that is.

Thank you everyone....the bleeding stopped.  I will give him a good exam a lunch again today, but he looks to be on the mend.  It is an awfully long wound for a bite, but I was told he was getting a bit "fresh" with a female yesterday at daycare.  I personally think he sliced it on something, but they think the female might have gotten him.  Thanks for all the ideas an well wishes.  He will be back to his goofy self in no time.
