I Can Get DK Members a small discount on Pet Insurance...but a question...

I just spoke with VPI Insurance and I can get a small discount for DK Members if we partner up with them.  But it got me thinking...why not check what a couple OTHER pet insurances might offer.  I'm not as familiar with which is most desireable/popular among the various insurance companies.  Besides VPI...what other TWO would you say would be best to check on?  If we can get a better deal for everyone that would be ideal.  If not then I'm happy to go with VPI and all DK members will then get a little bit of a break when buying their insurance.

Speak out!  Vote for which other two I should persue info on!

I won't be able to necessarily pick the insurance that covers ALL members and their dogs' needs.  BUT I want to pick from the top/favorite ones so that it will be of benefit to most.  I've now contacted Trupanion and PetPlan and Embrace too.
I know that Gordie's CCL is an exclusion on some policies and not on others.  I just wanted to point out that there is a difference in what some plans offer.
Nancy, I went with Pet Plan because they have very few exclusions.  They cover Hip Displaysia and I am pretty sure anything like a torn CCL.  They also have a choice for deductibles and percentage of payout.
Thanks Gina.
As I just said above, I had to have my dogs knees checked or the kness would have been excluded for I think 6 months.
We have PetPlan.  We haven't had to use it yet, so I don't know how good it is, but it seemed good when I compared with other plans.
We have PetPlan.
Adina, I am so glad u are doing this, we were just talking about this the other night, and I told DH that I would start to find out what is a good plan.  Thank you for taking the time to do this...I will be anxiously awaiting all your finds...
I'm with PetPlan as of this winter.
We are with PetPlan... haven't had to use it yet.  Would the discount apply to existing policy holders?  I also thought someone got PetPlan to donate to one of the doodle rescues.... I think the Doodle Messenger....
VPI just came out with three new plans,  I took the top plan which has Hereditary coverage, and a $100.00 per year deductuble and increased pay outs for common visits. Quite honestly, I looked at the other companies  plans but have been with VPI for three years now and have been satisfied.   The plans  from all the companies were so confusing as to their schedules and increases with age and exclusions so I figured why change.  The new VPI  plans seem to be  a major improvement over their prior options.

I have to say Pet Plan is amazing, I have more then gotten my premiums back from them. They have three different plans and then you pick if you want co insurance and or the co payment amount.  The customer service is out of control good, and also they have a plan, The Gold one that I have that pays for you if you have to cancel your vacation because your dog is sick as well as will pay for boarding or care of your dog if you have to go in the hospital.

They also have a life insurance policy if you have an early death. They have all kinds of things. They are outstanding!

ALso Jack had to be on a special food that was not Prescription diet but one that was better for his kidneys and they have paid for it. They cover everything that is not a pre existing condtion, including holistic therapies.

I have had Jack two years and have over 15 claims in to them that they have paid without question. Some where for Jack, some where because I am in the hospital and my friend watched Jack for me. They paid forty dollars a day for two weeks. They never ask questions and are very quick to send your check to them.

I compared extensively different companies and for me this is the perfect plan, I have gotten my premiums worth for at least then next five years.
