I Miss My Doodle (and My Husband!)

Brinkley and my DH are gone for a month.  It is way too quiet in this house.  I should be basking in the fact that that I don't have to take Brinkley out for a month... but man, I miss those two!

A whole month?? No!! That's far too long to go without the doodle! I spent 10 days away from Sunny and I started going nuts without her halfway through!

Hi Heather...

I really do agree with trying to Skype!

It's really easy and you can talk for as long as you want and the best part about it is that you can see the person...and your Doodle...while you're talking!

Our daughter lives in Ireland...and I don't know what I would do without Skype!!  (smile)

I know that It's Really Hard to be away from those we love...and our Doodles too...but sometimes...like in your case...it's necessary.

A month is really long...but...my suggestion is to find fun ways to fill up the time...

Maybe that book that you've always wanted to read...a new hobby...and it's Always great fun to get together with friends...and family if they live close by.

 Of course...spending time on DK is Always a Great way to pass the time!!   Who knows...you might end up making it to HDA by the time your DH and Brinkley get back home!!    Lol...

Trying to keep yourself busy...and then enjoying the times you have to talk...will help make the time go faster.

An interesting things is that  "Absense Does Make The Heart Grow Fonder"!!

You will have a Wonderful homecoming to look forward to..with both your DH and Brinkley!

I learned to use Skype and I LOVE it!! And there's no shortage of activities for me.  I'm slammed at work; I write a blog on the side on decorating and party planning and I have a party for the next two weekends! Plenty busy!!

Me too!  But if he gets into PA school, we may see each other on weekends-- we are thinking I may stay in VA Beach and keep my job... because of this recession.  But I get to keep the Doodle!

A month seems like a long time but if you keep busy and do things you wouldn't normally be able to do while they are gone it will fly by.  Learn a new skill or take up a hobby you've always thought about though never had time for.  I had to leave my partner and dog in a hurry and didn't know when I would return home.  It ended up being three months. They both missed me terribly but it didn't matter because when I got home they both appreciated me even more!

Yes, I'm staying busy!  And while I'm short a dog and a DH, I have no shortage of hobbies.  I refinish furniture; plan weddings and events; write a blog on decorating and party planning... oh and I do my real job too (lol!).  It's a busy time at work so he picked the right time to leave.
