Sally, I'm so sorry for your loss. It doesn't matter how young or how long, we miss them forever. But thank you for sharing such a comforting thought. The afterlife dog whisperer...I love that.
Sally, thank you so much for your kind words. To too am so sorry for your most tragic loss at such an early age. It is comforting to know there is a dog whisperer in Heaven to show Sophie the way.
So very sorry, she was gorgeous.
Oh, no! I'm so, so sorry for your loss. I thought you guys were going to have more time together. RIP, Sophie Girl. And she definitely earned her wings.
Oh my gosh, I am so very sorry. You gave Sophie a beautiful and loving life. May you find peace and comfort in wonderful memories of your sweet girl. Praying for you and for Lucy as you grieve.
Oh, I am so very, very sorry to hear about beautiful, sweet Sophie. I have been going through some things with Luca and I know how worried you can be and how this painful this must be. Knowing that you did every thing you possibly could for Sophie will, I hope, comfort you in some way. I hope you, your DH, and Lucy will help each other through this sad time.
she was a beauty, so sorry for your loss, I can only imagine how difficult it is
Rest in peace, sweet Sophie girl. Run free at the Bridge, free of pain, and know that you are loved beyond words.
Sheri, I just don't know what to say, my heart is breaking. I am so so terribly sorry. No dog ever had a better life, and she will live in your heart forever. Giant hugs to you my dear friend.
Some lines from a poem that has brought me comfort:
"If you are true to the love of the pet you cherished, you may find that a soul - a bit smaller in size than your own - seems to walk with you, at times, during the lonely days to come. And at moments when you least expect anything out of the ordinary to happen, you may feel something brush against your leg - very very lightly.
There will come a realization that belongs only to you. It will be as unique and strong as our relationship with each animal we have loved, and lost. This realization takes the form of a Living Love - like the heavenly scent of a rose that remains after the petals have wilted, this Love will remain and grow - and be there for us to remember.
It is a love we have earned. It is the legacy our pets leave us when they go. And it is a gift we may keep with us as long as we live. It is a Love which is ours alone. And until we ourselves leave, perhaps to join our Beloved Pets - it is a Love that we will always possess."
Oh my word, I am so sorry. I didn't except this to happen so soon. Thinking of you and your family. Many, many, many hugs :)
So sorry for your loss. She is beautiful...breaks my heart to see her face...
