winston was doing good up until today! Saturday we went out to dinner and took him with us. We ordered him some chicken with rice (from doggie menu). That night he started having bad gas. Sunday he ate just fine but the gas was bad!!! Today he vomited bile several times, he has not eaten anything this morning. I heard tons of gurgling/swishing abdominal sounds. He is just lying around. I’m now convinced he does have IBD. Is he in pain? I’m debating whether to call the vet yet or not.

Please keep us informed about Winston. I think what is the most stressful is that he can't tell you what's wrong. We want our beloved pets to feel good and it hurts our hearts when they don't.
My boys have nothing wrong with them but they don't tolerate much change in their diet. They eat a grain-free kibble - the same one every day and have few treats. IF they have several treats in a day, one or more will have diarrhea. If they get stressed, they might have diarrhea. This is never accompanied with vomiting or lethargy. I think theirs is a more common reaction to upset tummies or a change in diet as opposed to Winston's. I am so glad that you area continuing to pursue what is going on.
My Jack had pyloric stenosis, but it was a direct result of the IBD; pyloric stenosis is almost always a symptom of some other health issue. A sensitivity to chicken would not cause it.
Prednisone will make him feel better, because it will suppress the immune system and therefore, reduce the inflammation in the GI tract. But that's a temporary fix.
If it was me I wouldn't put my dog on Prednisone without a diagnosis. I'm glad to hear he's feeling better.
