Incontinence

Gracie is 16 months old and in good health.  Twice in the last 2 weeks, she has flopped down exhausted from a good hike and has had a potty accident in her sleep.  Has anyone else experienced this?

I would consult a vet. Has she been checked for a UTI?

Our boy started peeing in his sleep and it was a uti.

That happened to Bailey once, but only after a long active play at the dog park on a hot day where she drank LOTS of water.  I learned (after that) to not only make her pee when we got home, but wake her up and make sure she went out to pee again about an hour later.  No accidents since then.

Luna used to do that sometimes when she was smaller.  She didn't have a UTI, she was just REALLY sound asleep and forgot to pee before going to sleep.  We knew it wasn't a UTI because other than the peeing while she was asleep there was no increased urination frequency.

Chase had no other symptoms apart from peeing in his sleep. But when they looked at his urine he had an infection and crystals forming.
