Incontinence??

Hey guys! I just adopted a Cocka-doodle (cocker spainiel-poodle mix) today from the humane society... I picked her up this afternoon and she had been spayed earlier in the day so she is still a little groggy... when I got her home I took her out to potty with my poodle and she didn't go but when we got back inside and we were all sitting on the couch... she peed!!! I don't think she meant too but do you think this is something that is perminent or is just a side effect of the anesthesia??? Thanks for all the help!!

I am no expert, but I think it has to do with the anesthesia. It is also just the first few hours in a new home. She is adorable. Good luck!

When I brought my girls home from being spayed my little Sophie would just lay on her bed and pee without even realizing she was doing it.  Turned out to be a UTI --- apparently that happens occasionally when they are spayed.  I'd contact the vet for some meds.  Hope she is better soon.

Thanks!! I have to take her to the vet in the morning anyways for a check up/shots!! 

She is the sweetest thing!! I am so blessed that I found her. I went in just looking yesterday and they had brought her in that morning!!!!!! I am so excited!

Calla had one UTI when she peed without even seeming to realize it or assuming "the position". A day or so on antibiotics stopped that but of course we finished all the medicine. Never recurred.

I don't have any experience with this, but wanted to tell you she is adorable and I look forward to a complete description of her ( size etc). her story as you know it,  and  more pictures.  Just realized that her name is Tia - lovely name.

How adorable! But as a nurse (human) recovering from anesthesia is rough. Take her out as much as you can to let her void on purpose.

Oh congrats!!! I think if she's still groggy, that's probably what happened (let's hope)
