Is he a smooth goldedoodle?

Hello,

I'm writing this today becasue I am quite confused about my little buddy. He is about eight months old now and his coat is so odd. On his back I can start to see a  curl coming in and he does have feathering but his face is completely smooth. I have no clue what he will look like when he's older. It seems that half of his fur is smooth and the other in growing in curly. I was wondering if anybody could help me with figuring out what in the world his coat will look like. The pictures I attached are him at  eight weeks and then at 6 months and the last is a picture of a close up of his coat.

Well both his parents were goldendoodles I met them when we were looing at dexter for the first time. Dexter is pushing about 75-80lbs right now so he's a big boy. haha (:

The little spots on his face and legs happen often with black and white colored dogs its called "ticking" it happens in a lot of breeds. He does look like a springer or an english setter but he is a not so golden goldendoodle. ha ha (:

Oh my, he is gorgeous. I have a Springer Spaniel and am very partial to that coloring.  I guess I need Ginny's Rio so that I could satisfy the coloring with the doodle.
