Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hello, I recently put a deposit for a goldendoodle which is a F1B. Mom is a Goldendoodle which is very poodlish and dad is a golden retriever. Attached is a picture of the most curliest baby at two weeks. Is he going to be a true goldendoodle with curls/waves with long coating? This is my first dog and want to make sure I am getting I want looking for. Appreciate the help!

Coby is sooo adorable.... I'm crate training as well... He appears chunky or "well fed" hehe.

How much does he weigh?

He looks like he is going to be super curly and I thought curly doesn't shed? hmmmm

My jack doesn't shed at all and he is 14 weeks today F1Golden doodle. I pull and tug and nothing at this point.

He is close to 10 lbs two days back. His mom is a very curly golden doodle and dad is a retriever. Previous litter owners said, dogs are not shedding. Still hoping he will doodle and will not shed :)

He has been good with temperament so far. Nights able to go 5 hours.

 Nice. That's awesome.

Hopefully he is not a sheeder for you all then....

More pics.

Looks like a White Doodle :)
I dont see other colors on him...
He still looks like he is going to be curly!
I am still hoping my 14W old Jack will be curly..
He is not shedding at all--> yet ;)

I see some fine hair on my t-shirt. Not sure if its baby hair or danger or he is really shedding. When I pull or tug, don't get any hair at all.

Its funny, some times his face looks just like retriever. sometimes like a doodle. Compare the pictures.

Gosh, he is adorable.  Looks very doodley to me.

Wow ~ what a cutie.  Coby looks like he is going to be a big boy!

He's cute! It was nice looking at all his progrsssion photos and how much he has changed! He's so sweet!

Does puppy shed when stressed? He is home for few hours in crate all by himself today and all of a sudden seeing huge amount of shedding. He is only 9 weeks :(

For most of my life, I have owned real non-shedding breeds, otherwise known as purebred Poodles, lol, and I can tell you that nothing- not stress, not trauma, not coat changes, not nuclear bombs dropping, nothing other than possibly a catastrophic illness, can cause a dog who truly doesn't shed to shed. I think your puppy is probably going to be a shedder, and that is not likely to change. It's also not surprising, considering that 3 of the 4 grandparents are Golden Retrievers, so heavily shedding dogs on both sides.

My shedding dogs, shed in stress. My non-shedding ones don't.  In fairness, I never paid attention to what happened shed-wise when I had a tiny puppy.
