Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hello, I recently put a deposit for a goldendoodle which is a F1B. Mom is a Goldendoodle which is very poodlish and dad is a golden retriever. Attached is a picture of the most curliest baby at two weeks. Is he going to be a true goldendoodle with curls/waves with long coating? This is my first dog and want to make sure I am getting I want looking for. Appreciate the help!

Latha, I'm sorry for not being clear....what I meant to say is that with all the facial furnishings already seen on your pup's face, he will most likely doodle! He reminds me a lot of my puppy (an F1 goldendoodle), especially around the face.
Thanks for the response. Do you have picture of your puppy around 8 weeks old?
Hi, I saw this post and my Jack just turned 14 weeks and weighs 18lbs I wonder how much sunny weighs for comparison?
She had a vet appointment at 14 weeks and weighed in at 13.25 lb. She is also supposed to be a "mini" goldendoodle, but really more like a medium, since she is expected to be 30-40 lb when full grown.
Nice-I was curious.
Yes Jack is 1/2 standard poodle and 1/2 golden retriever- I'm hoping for a BIG BOY!
Thank you for answering back to me :)
By when we will know if the dog will shed like retriever?
Probably not until he's about a year old. Often a puppy who doesn't shed will start shedding after the coat change, which happens around a year. Of course, if they shed as puppies, that will continue.
You might get some hints. along the way. If he sheds lots as a puppy, he probably will continue to do so, but this isn't set in stone. They say if you gently tug at the hair on his back just at the base of the tail, it will be an indicator of shedding - or not.
What is your goldendoodles name? Looks like will be BIG and curly :)
