There as been some recent discussion about dogs on the furniture and where your dogs sleep so I was just wondering are these the rules at your house.

 

Dog Rules
The dog is not allowed in the house.
Okay, the dog is allowed in the house, but only in certain rooms.
The dog is allowed in all rooms, but has to stay off the furniture.
The dog can get on the old furniture only.
Fine, the dog is allowed on all the furniture, but is not allowed to sleep with the humans on the bed.
Okay, the dog is allowed on the bed, but only by invitation.
The dog can sleep on the bed whenever he wants, but not under the covers.
The dog can sleep under the covers by invitation only
The dog can sleep under the covers every night.
Humans must ask permission to sleep under the covers with the dog.

Same here except the bed. That was DH's only hard fast rule. But when he isn't home...

Sometimes when Fudge is laying on our bed, I cover her with the covers. Yeah, my doodles are spoiled.

Hahahahahaha!  Love it.  This sounds like a friend of ours who once said he would "never" have a dog in the house.  Now his rescued greyhound rules the roost.  They love her!!

LOL... Hey!  When did you sneak into my house???... although I haven't gotten to the sleeping all night in our bed thing yet... but she does come up for cuddles, but not under the covers... I'm working on that... All other points - GUILTY as charged... my words exactly!  LOL  Tori's like my therapist... trying to break me of my 'germ-freakiness'...  she's a good therapist, I'm learning!

That's our house too...

I woke up in the middle of the night for the past two nights to find my DH curled up on the floor right next to our bed... And my two furkids all sprawled out sleeping soundly & peacefully next to me, in the bed, on my duvet. 

 

And let me add, if I were the one on DH's side of the bed fast asleep when he came into the room, he would not hesitate to wake me from my deep sleep and ask that I move over.

These 'rules' remind me of when we were first married,

DH and I let our Tibetan Spaniel sleep on the bed with us ,until one night I  told DH to roll over because of the Snoring, he did,but the snoring continued..

It was the dog snoring so LOUD that I couldn't sleep.

Now that's funny, I do draw the line at sleeping on the floor so the dog can have the bed. That would have made a great picture.

Too funny!!  This was especially true at my in-laws house and now there are NO rules!

LOL @ Doris.. My In-laws too... they said to us when we got Tori - "Don't think we're going to walk her and take care of her when you're out."  My FIL was like my dad - 'old school' where you hit dogs to get them to listen and you should now see them BOTH... (They have an apartment off our main house) and they are forever walking her, my father in law takes her out IN THE SNOW even to play they feed her, worry about her and.... call her their "GRAND DAUGHTER!"  These doodles just weasle their way into EVERYONE'S hearts!

Sedona sleeps in her crate (she loves it!), but other than that, she rules the house!!

Hilarious!!!  And our rule is "sleep on bed when invited" for Peri.
