So thanks for everyone's input on Bella's itchy belly.  We went to see the Dr. today and she said it was some kind of skin infection.  We did skin scraping's and all was good so Bella is on Clindaymicin tablets, rx topical spray and a stronger anthihistimanine the doctor did say that she would not recommend Claritin for our four legged friends......So on that note no more Claritin for my baby girl......So she has had her first dose of meds for the night things should start improving now.....Oh did I mention the Dr said take my new comforter off the bed also since that was newly purchased and Bella mainly startes her scratching at nite in the bed.......

Love,
Bella's mommie

Your vet may not recommend Claritin for our four-legged friends, but it is one of the antihistamines most often recommended by veterinary dermatology specialists, and the one that works best for Jack. Different antihistamines work better or worse for different dogs.
At any rate, I'm glad you got an answer and Bella will hopefully start to feel better very soon!
Bella had no bad side effects to the Claritin at all so i think what ever works for our doods. I was just scared after the fact that she is only 4months old.......Well hopefully this will cure my lil Bella she is getting to be quite a lil expensive thing......You cant put a price on my peace of mind now that i have it.....lol..........
Somehow this discussion got posted twice (I deleted the other one, but not before Julie and her furkids responded). Julie's response was:

"I read on the other forum, many of them highly recommend Micro-tek Medicated Shampoo for their itchy dogs...
