I was wondering if anybody knows if this is a safe product for bathing a Doodle? I work at a Grooming shop, and it's routine for them to use the regular no tears formula for washing faces. Is this common practice? and would the Lavender be any different then the regular formula? I know Lavender is supposed to have a somewhat calming effect, and I use it myself religiously in my own showers and just love love love it. I love the smell, and I have very sensitive skin and I find it's the only product I don't have a reaction too.
I would love to start using it at the shop, and possibly on Bruce as well.
if anyone can think of reasons not too, please post!! :)
I had a concern I would like to share. When I had to do some research on baby products and shampoo because I was dealing with rash issues with my kiddo: I found this out......just an fyi please feel free to snope it, or verify. I read elsewhere that it is in trace amounts. I feel even trace amounts can cause irritation or reaction so I stopped using it in my house with my kids.......
From one other article they wrote
The family company known for its "no more tears" shampoo has been asked by 40 parent, healthcare, and environmental organizations to remove known chemicals from its products by the end of the year. One report said: The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics reported in March that it found Johnson & Johnson's Baby Shampoo and other children's products contained formaldehyde and 1,4-dioxane, both of which have been found to cause cancer in animals and listed by the Environmental Protection Agency as probable human carcinogens.
I don't know with the lavendar in it if I would use it, I have used the plain on my dogs, and checked with my Vet to be sure it would be safe for them. Don't know about other dogs and how or if they would have reactions ....

Just read the back of the Johnson and Johnson bottle and DO NOT see anywhere it is listed that it contains formaldehyde and 1,4 dioxane, unless they are called something else on the bottle. I do not use it on a regular basis...just in certain pinches it has been recommended I use from my Vet, as when Honey was on Revolution 2xs a month, I could bathe her in it inbetween dosages, because she was constantly getting sick on me from her meds.
