As Banjo gets older and "furrier" we've noticed that the fur around his neck (where his collar lies) is noticeably shorter that the surrounding area. Is this normal?? It's as if the fur in this area isn't growing ...it's hard to tell actually if it isn't growing or if it's wearing off. Has anyone noticed this with their dogs?
I don't know of any dog friendly beaches... all of the town beaches do have signs posted - No dog's allowed :O(, but maybe after hours you can bring Banjo up there after 5 ish??? But.... there is a dog park in Blydenburgh Park right on Vet's Highway across from the Dennison Buildings. I have never gone myself, but friends do love it! I will ask around and let you know if I find anything!!! Is this the first time your in-laws will see Banjo??
Thanks Shelly! My mother in law is a darling but refuses to have Banjo stay at her house : ( - so we'll be staying with son in law and the grandkids : ) This will be Banjo's 1st visit to LI. We're so looking forward to getting down there as it's been quite a while. We'll certainly check out the dog park!
My Yogi has shorter hair around the neck as well as it being curlier than anywhere else. The groomer noticed too at his first haircut. I did get a rolled collar to help. But, not sure it is the cause. His face is a little curlier than the rest of him.
